I have gone for several thousand miles with no issues but every once in awhile this winter, I have to flip the switch off, then back on to reboot the camera and it works fine.

What I ended up doing is install a small on-off toggle switch under the dash and wired it to the fused camera power source. If that is OK and it still doesn't work, you have a different issue than I did. If it doesn't, check the fuse under the dash in front of the passenger seat.
